Truth: You can't call yourself ugly and then behave that way. Too obvious. So we try to do some good in the world. Every Ugly Mug coffee is blended with Fair Trade/Organic Coffees. These coffees are traded and grown in a way that benefits the growers and the environment. We also work with churches and charitable organizations to try to do our small part in making the world a better place. You may hear the phrase "roasted with integrity" around here. And you may not. 	Coffee has natural oils and moisture that is brought to the surface during the roasting process. If coffee is stored in a freezer and it is not in an airtight container, the frost-free mechanism in most freezers will pull the moisture out of the coffee causing it to taste stale.

We like our coffee all natural. It tastes best that way. That is why we seek out the coffee's that are grown bird friendly, in the shade, with all-natural fertilizers and insect repellants. Our choice is better for the environment, the farmer and you. While choosing coffees that are grown without harmful chemicals seems, well, natural, the effect on the farmers is great. Choosing natural growing coffees ensures the farmers and all who work for him will not be exposed to toxic chemicals that are used in many areas. While most of our coffees are grown on farms that use no pesticides or herbicides, several are certified as organic by various certifying agencies.
